1) Subject: Heart Attack (Ind. Supreme Ct. Aug. 25, 2004)(Larry J. Bertoch vs. NBD Corporation AND U.S. Security, Inc.)

Employee suffered a fatal heart attack while working as a security guard in a building where a fire had occurred. We hold that his death is compensable under the Indiana Worker's Compensation Act.

2)  Subject: (Ind. Ct. App. Aug. 25, 2004) (injury to non-striking worker during strike arose out of and in the course of his employment)(Global Construction, Inc.,   Appellant (Defendant below) vs. Daniel T. March, Appellees (Plaintiff below).

While leaving the foundry where he was assigned by his employer, employee was injured by strikers. We hold that the Worker's Compensation Act covers this injury.

3) Subject: (Ind. Sup. Ct. March 25, 2004) (injury suffered during after-hours event sponsored by employer arose out of and in the course of employment) (Donald Knoy, Appellant (Defendant below), vs. Joe W. and Janice Cary, Appellees (Plaintiffs below).

Employee was injured when a tractor driven by his coworker, malfunctioned during an after-hours community service project sponsored by his employer, Gemtron Corporation. We hold that the Indiana Worker's Compensation Act covers this injury.
